About Me
I am European Board Certified (FEBO) Ophthalmologist Op. Dr. Orkun Özkan.
With over 12 years of professional experience and more than 10,000 surgical and interventional cases, I provide services in cataract surgery, refractive laser applications, corneal diseases, eyelid aesthetics, oculoplastic surgeries, and regenerative eye treatments.
After my residency training, I gained extensive clinical experience by working at various centers in Turkey. After working on advanced eye surgery at private healthcare institutions in Istanbul, I have been continuing my academic career as a faculty member at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology since 2023.
In my clinical practice:

– Laser eye surgeries (PRK, LASIK, iLASIK, SMILE, No Touch)
– Keratoconus and advanced corneal treatments
– Eyelid aesthetics, ptosis, and oculoplastic surgeries

– Strabismus surgery
– Regenerative eye treatments (stem cell, exosome, and cellular biology-based approaches)
constitute my main focus areas.
I hold the Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO) title granted by the European Ophthalmology Board and contribute to academic developments in ophthalmology through scientific publications and presentations at international congresses.
